The Dougherty Creek Recreation Site is part of the Tabor Mountain Trail System, and is located next to a staging area that accesses hundreds of kilometres of multi-use trails. The site has 13 camp pads including 8 universally accessible sites to provide an opportunity for people with mobility challenges. The site offers a flat and compact surface with accessible tables and outhouses. This site is also the access point for the Great West Life Mobility Nature Trail.
The accessible trail is approximately a 0.9km there and back trip that is suitable for use by people with mobility challenges, and provides for an excellent short trip through the beautiful and quaint forest surrounding Dougherty Creek
