About
CAUTION: The water level of Pentz Lake dropped significantly in 2022 and has not returned to normal levels, therefore, launching boats on trailers may be difficult as the boat launch is quite flat with deep mud. Launching trailered boats is not recommended due to risk of getting stuck in the mud.
This small 6 unit site is most popular for day-use, picnics, swimming and boating/paddling. This site features a brand new (2022) land-based dock and a floating swimming dock in the lake. The lake is very popular in summer as it's one of the nicest swimming lakes in the area with a nice sand/gravel beach. It is possible to hand launch small boats at the southern end of the rec site. There are cutthroat trout in the lake for anglers.
Please be sure to purchase a fishing licence and consult the BC Freshwater Fishing Regulations Synopsis for limits, special regulations and closures: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/sports-recreation-arts-and-culture/outdoor-recreation/fishing-and-hunting/freshwater-fishing/region_6_skeena.pdf
