About
This site offers day use parking and a short trail that leads to fantastic views of the Lower Nation Falls. Although the falls are more of a rapid (not a high drop), they are still a powerful sight to behold, specially during periods of high water. The large pools below the falls can offer good fishing for rainbow trout, lake trout and bull trout for the lucky angler. The trail from the parking lot to the edge of the falls is less than 1 km, and although fairly steep in spots is relatively easy. Please use caution when near the river's edge. The parking area offers the basic amenities of an outhouse, a table and a fire ring.
Driving Directions
From Mackenzie, travel south to the Causeway Road. Turn left at the T junction just off the highway and after crossing the bridge, keep right and continue along the Finlay North FSR. At 62.5 km turn left onto the Finlay Nation FSR. The entrance to the site is located on the right side of the road about 12km from the turnoff.
