This recreation site is small and timbered with defined sites along the north shore of Deer Lake. It receives consistent use throughout the spring, summer and fall. Canoeing and fishing are ideal at this lake. Buy a fishing licence, read the regulations and view fish stocking reports HERE. Please use the site responsibly. As per the Forest Recreation Regulations;Camping is limited to a maximum of 14 consecutive days per visit.No reserving or holding of campsites, no unoccupied trailers, tents, chairs, vehicles may save a site or reserve it for others. All sites are first come, first serve.Camping is only permitted in the designated camping spots.All Fee Sites and CASH ONLY.All dogs must be on a leash at all times (for all Kamloops Recreation Sites). Driving Directions
<BR><BR>From Kamloops, travel North to Little Fort, turn left to take HWY 24 West. In approx. 20 km, turn right (North) onto Taweel Forest Service Road. Deer Lake Recreation Site is just beyond the 5 km marker.
