About
Located near the town of Smithers, a medium-size semi-forested site on the southern shore of Chapman Lake. There are 12 campsites, a large gravel boat launch, and a land based dock. Several campsites are good for RV's/trailers and larger groups. Chapman Lake has several species of fish and is a popular lake for fishing, paddling and boating. There are several fish species in the lake including lake trout and burbot, please only keep what you can eat as these species are long lived and slow reproducing fish species. The road is often busy with logging traffic, a VHF radio with Resource Road channels is recommended for travel here. Please be sure to purchase a fishing licence and consult the BC Freshwater Fishing Regulations Synopsis for limits, special regulations and closures: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/sports-recreation-arts-and-culture/outdoor-recreation/fishing-and-hunting/freshwater-fishing/region_6_skeena.pdf
