Kinbrook Island Provincial Campground is a beautiful tree-lined park and a welcome relief on blistering hot prairie days. With many well-treed sites that provide shade that you can base all your lake activities from. With an interpretive trail that provides visitors with the opportunity to view the area’s abundant bird species. Kinbrook is an excellent location from which to base day trips to Dinosaur Provincial Park or enjoy the Brooks Recreation Centre if the heat is too much for you.

Authors Review: July 2017
We’ve stayed at this campground 4 or 5 times in the last number of years. It’s still always amazing to see this lush lake oasis pop out from the middle of the prairies. The lake is massive and there is a fairly large beach to enjoy a day at the lake, there is a boat launch and the lake is fairly busy with boaters of all kinds. The sites are pretty large and some are well treed for shade but not really private. Many of the sites, especially the new ones (opening 2017) are very open with little to no privacy. We also find the gravel beach is not the best for playing on unless you bring water shoes and can get very busy with both campers and day users. The lake is pretty warm and is a lot of fun to float and swim in. We keep coming back here more because it’s close to family rather than being a 10/10 campground.
